Dr. Kalandra showed exceptional ability during the Klingon invasion of Ajilon Prime in 2373.  The hospital was destroyed during a Klingon attack (during recent conflict with Federation). Kalandra supervised moving the facility to underground shelter, treating civilians and Federation troops.  She oversaw  the successful evacuation of 72 patients when Klingon forces attacked the relocated field hospital.
